Entertainment Weekly is reporting that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has been tapped to host the revival of Tough Enough on the USA Network.

The show premieres April 4, following Monday Night Raw.

WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin, who has been announced as the host of Tough Enough, wrote the following on his Twitter about the news:

"Thanks for all of your congratulation tweets! I am very excited about hosting WWE Tough Enough. And that's the bottom line cause I said so."

Steve Austin provided the following comments to WWE.com regarding his return to host Tough Enough.

"I am very excited about the opportunity to work with my old friends at WWE on 'WWE Tough Enough.' Sports-entertainment has always been an important part of my life, and I look forward to finding the next generation of WWE Superstars," said Austin.

The deal to bring Steve Austin in for WWE Tough Enough was made by the production company Shed Media Inc., not WWE.
WWE did attempt to get Austin and wanted him for the role and while talks had gone on for some time, it was Shed Media who got him.

Steve Austin met with officials from WWE and Tough Enough yesterday in Venice, California. Austin wrote on Twitter:
