WWE stars Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre have been pulled from WWE programming until further notice due to their work visas expiring. As of this posting, both are not legally eligible to work in the United States.

Barrett is currently in his home country of Great Britain waiting for a new visa to be cleared, while McIntyre is believed to still be in the United States.

If you recall, McIntyre was recently "sent back to Scotland" on last week's edition of Friday Night SmackDown after losing a match to Matt Hardy. After the match, he was informed by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long that his visa had expired. While this was at first thought to be an angle of some sort, that is now not the case.

On tonight's edition of Monday Night RAW, Michael Cole stated that Barrett had been called to a meeting at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut concerning the actions of the new Nexus faction. This was obviously done to cover up the story that his work visa had expired as well.

Numerous sources within WWE are reporting that it is not known at this time exactly when Barrett and McIntyre will make their returns to the company, but as of right now, expect to not see them for a while.

Update Status on Wade Barrett & Drew McIntyre

The latest update on the work visa issues regarding Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre is that at this point, it is relatively unknown as to when both men will be able to return to WWE. The hope was that Barrett would be able to return next week, but no one is at all for sure.

There is also word from sources within WWE that Barrett and McIntyre may not be back until after this August's WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event, which is said to be making things extremely tough on the WWE creative department. There is the possibility that they could be back in the company sooner than that, but that does not appear likely at this time.

Sheamus Experiencing Work Visa Issues?

After the shocking news that the work visas of Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre have expired, there is now the possibility that WWE Champion Sheamus may be set to experience the same fate.

Word is that Sheamus was signed around the same time as McIntyre and Barrett, but appears to be okay when it comes to issues with his work visa; however, given the way how things were handled with Barrett and McIntyre, Sheamus could very possibly become the next victim of this unfortunate situation.

well, Maybe If Vinnie Mac made sure His Superstars' Work Visas were up to date before they reached Expiration Date, He wouldn't keep having this problem...

Update on Wade Barrett

The latest update on WWE star Wade Barrett is that the situation with his work visa was not as serious as it was made out to be. According to sources, everyone knew that the situation was coming since Barrett had been walking about it for weeks. It is expected that Barrett will be back in the United States as early as today and will also be back on television as early as this coming week.

Drew McIntyre's Work Visa Issues Resolved

WrestlingValley.org has received word that the work visa issues involving Drew McIntyre have now been resolved. He will return to Friday Night SmackDown as soon as the WWE creative department feels that it's a good time for him to come back as part of the "deportation" angle, which is not likely to be anytime soon.

As previously reported, the work visa issues with Wade Barrett have also been resolved. In an update on that story, it is being said that Barrett will more than likely return on next week's edition of Monday Night RAW.
